Richard Roche - Successful High School and College Basketball Coach

Richard Roche, a Flemington, New Jersey-based basketball coach, has over three decades of experience coaching at the high school and collegiate levels. He serves as a fundraising coach at Vertical Raise, leveraging his athletics experience and networks to secure funding for college, high school, and elementary school athletic programs, little leagues, and AAU programs. In 2023, Richard Roche began working with Vertical Raise.

Previously, Richard Roche served as director of athletics and boys varsity basketball coach at Notre Dame High School (NDHS). He spent 12 years as athletics director at NDHS, managing an annual budget of over $1 million, ensuring adherence to administrative rules and procedures, conducting annual evaluations of all programs, and securing contracts for off-campus facilities. He previously spent four years as district athletic director at Lindenhurst Public Schools.

At the college level, Richard Roche served as the head coach of the men's basketball team at Hobart College from 1997 to 2006 and is a former assistant with the men's teams at Villanova University, SUNY Farmingdale State, and New York Institute of Technology. He won Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association Coach of the Year with Hobart in 2000-01 after leading the team to its first 20-win season and appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
